Budget Consultation 2011
PRIORITISE OUR POUNDS
Plymouth City Council provides more than 300 services for 258,700 people. We have set ourselves ambitious targets for ongoing efficiency savings to make sure council tax bills are kept low and services are maintained and improved.
This survey lists some of the key public services we provide. We are asking our customers to say whether they want us to maintain the current level of investment, 'invest about the same', or reduce the amount of money spent, 'invest less', within each of the service areas; we have also included some questions to capture your views about the spending priorities for community safety and health services.
The Council has already made progress in making significant savings. Owing to the level of funding reductions we are experiencing, the option to increase the amount of money spent is more difficult next year.
To provide us with further information and so we can fully understand our customers’ priorities, we would like you to also rank the service areas that are important to you.
There are eight key areas where we would like the views of our customers to help us finalise the budget for next year, these include service areas relating to health and policing where we are able to influence spending priorities on your behalf.
The event is not currently available for consultation.
